This year's Dojo Eco-Adventure is an overnight backpacking hike in Harriman State Park, NY on the Appalachian Trail. The trip includes simplicity, nature, Qigong, unstructured playtime, and everyone is invited
to bring a spouse or friend or whomever. We do need people to register so Shihan knows how many people are coming. More details to follow..


The adult's black belt test will be this Saturday June 21st. The test starts at 10:30am and finishes at 1:00pm. We will have the River Cleanup immediately afterwards.


The children's black belt test will be this Friday June 20th. The test starts at 6:30pm with the written exam and then the physical exam starts at 7:00 and will go until approximately 8:30pm. BE ONTIME! On time means 10 minutes early. No guarantee we'll finish on time.

The dojo family picnic will be on Saturday May 17th from 12 noon until 4pm. Please see Sempai Kim to register and to record what you'll be bringing to the picnic. Rain date will be Sunday May 18th.

We are conducting a yard cleanup for the Kip Center members this Saturday 4/19 at 10am. We are meeting at the front of the dojo and then will be heading out to clean up some yards. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event. Bring a rake, or a broom, gloves, etc. (no power tools, please!)


The dojo will be closed from Wednesday April 16th through Saturday April 20th. Sensei Dan and Sempai Kim will be heading down to Alabama for the Ultimate Black Belt Test home project. This is done in cooperation between Tom Callos and the Habitat for Humanity.
